Building Maintenance Units (BMU) are permanent access systems engineered for facade cleaning, maintenance, glass replacement and repair works on high-rise buildings. Depending on roof and terrace geometry, each project can be configured with fixed, rail-mounted, telescopic or hydraulic solutions. The machine layout is determined according to the building architecture, required outreach, parking position and operational loads.
Monorail
Monorail systems provide compact, permanent facade access where the roof geometry is suitable for a single guided travel line. The platform and travelling movements can be controlled from the working basket, while project-specific climbing configurations can be used to pass between different roof levels. Their relatively simple rail infrastructure makes them practical for maintenance and regular facade-cleaning operations.
Double Rail
Double-rail BMU systems travel horizontally on two parallel rails installed on the terrace or roof. Combined with a rotating or telescopic boom, the working distance between the platform and the facade can be adjusted for recessed or projecting building geometry. Rail layout, parking position and electrical supply are engineered specifically for the building to provide continuous and controlled facade access.
Guide Rail
Guide-rail configurations are used when the architectural layout requires the machine to follow the parapet, a dedicated walking path or another guided route. The platform can be positioned inward or outward to reach facade recesses. Rotation, boom, lifting, hydraulic, counterweight, carriage and basket groups are configured according to the building geometry and operational requirements.
